Rustic Wood Flooring
There are three areas within our home that have wood flooring within them. The hall, dining room and kitchen all of have wood flooring and I`d like to update the flooring in our hall in the not too distant future and perhaps change the look of the kitchen flooring at the same time. At the moment our hall flooring is more of a mahogany colour but I`ve seen some Rustic Wood Flooring that will help to in-keep with the age of the home. Our house is a Victorian property and I think the Rustic Wood Flooring lends itself to such properties. I could opt for character oak flooring but I`m leaning more towards vintage oak flooring instead. I can just imagine the type of impression this flooring would provide as people walked into our home through the front door. Being a Victorian property our house has a number of original features that have luckily been preserved over a period of time. It`s become popular to retain these features now, whereas at one time they might have all been ripped out. I can certainly add to the overall look of the property if I have some of the Rustic Wood Flooring fitted. The hall is the first area that I`m going to tackle, closely followed by our kitchen.
